ذهبت اليوم لحضور العرض الثاني، فاذا بالناس أمم، أمم
على قولة فوزية لدوس في مسرحية سك على بناتك
لم أتمكن من دخول العرض، وطلب من كل الحضور الذين لم يكن لهم نصيب في الحضور تسجيل أسماءهم لحجز مقاعد والتواجد غداً قبل السابعة مساءاً لضمان مقاعدهم
من يريد الحضور منكم ولم يسجل اسمه، يحاول يحضر باكرا، من السادسة مساءاً، يوم غد وقد يحصل على مقعد أو اثنين
لم أتوقع هذا الاقبال
بالرغم من عدم تمكني من حضور العرض الثاني، الا أنني كنت سعيدة بارتفاع مستوى الوعي المسرحي عندنا في الكويت وباقبال الناس على الأعمال ذات القيمة
حاولوا الحضور غدا
ما راح تندمون

ReplyDeleteNow I'm upset. For the third time I miss one of Al-Bassam's adaptations. I only saw Hamlet when is was onstage many years ago in Kuwait, but I keep missing the rest for geographical reasons :"(

I'm too lazy to leave the comfort of my sofa and the warmth of my blanket and go watch the play. I blame it on an early work day. Hopefully tomorrow. I go when the less 'kash5a' people go :)

hubby won't take my word for it :) he says that i am crazy about theatre and i like anything and everything, i say, just in case you hear it from him before we go tomorrow, it is a great play...you have to not miss it...oh, and i am attending again tomorrow and taking him with me :)

ReplyDeleteIt was a stunningly brilliant and powerful adaptation wasn't it? My jaw dropped on several occasions, and that Margaret was incredible, she got to me. I am so glad I made it last night. I was also lucky enough to meet the even more brilliant director and writer, who it also turns out was a childhood playmate from when I was a little child LOL. Kuwait is such a tiny country and there are maybe 3 degrees of separation between people, we are all connected somehow it seems :)

SUlaiman is a sweet person, i am glad you got a chance to meet and chat and find your way through the 3 degrees of seperation :)
the women were excellent, but Nizar Qazaq, the protagonist, got my heart..i gave him a flying kiss at the end which he totally didn't notice :)

You are right, all of the actors were just amazing (how about that poodle handbag LOL ). Wasn't the music fantastic?
ReplyDeleteI was in the main area sitting with a few lovely friends on the far right of the stage, halfway up :) Perfect view, but without the benefit of the translation screen for the hardcore Arabic bits ;)

We went the second day and it was full. Wrote our names the next day. Came at 7:00 the next day - when I saw you - to be told that they gave our tickets to someone else :((

you are perfectly right dear, the music was superb, i heard from Sulaiman Al-Bassam that he got the help of a professional, can't remember his name, to designate the music and fit it to the right scenes according to the Arabic musical weights (maqamat)
i thought the theatre had a warm glow...you were there then :) :**

i had a couple of extras, i kept them in my hand to give them to you or to authoress, then you both told me you got tickets so i ended up giving them to another friend and her husband...

في الغالب، الي صاعدة فوق الكرسي هذه انا، في وحدة بتمر الى كرسيها وراي، وآخرين صاكين علي من الأمام، ما كان أمامي الا الصعود فوق الكرسي لتمريرها
